Peppermint is not just for stirring that whip cream into your oh so delicious hot coacoa, or hanging on the Christmas tree. So what can we say about the ever so strong but invigorating scent and flavor of peppermint. Great for aroma therapy and healing. Peppermint has shown over centuries to be great fix to nausea and irritable bowel issues by calming and soothing the digestive tract. It has also been saught to help alleviate tension and pain with its cooling menthol effects which help to soothe and help reduce inflammation. If you are suffering from chaffed lips or mothers who are nursing having chaffed nipples apply some peppermint water to the affected area. The peppermint will help restore the resiliency of the skin tissue and also comfort the wound. Inhaling peppermint oil has shown to help with those who suffer from bronchial and respiratory issues by helping to open air ways and soothing the respiratory tract. if you suffer from acne, eczema, or skin issues that inhibit inflammation and discomfort apply some peppermint water or oil that has been diluted to the area. Peppermints antiseptic properties will help soothe and heal while its anitbacterial properties will help to reduce the spread of bacteria and irritation.
